Hi,

I have 2 instances of Oracle 8.1.6.0.0 database running on Win2k server.
After applying Win2k Service Pack 4 on this server I have following problems
with staring the instances:

  • none of the services manage to start automatically, their status remain "starting"
  • it is possible to start the instances manually (oradim -startup -sid mysid -usrpwd mypwd -starttype inst)
  • after these instances are started I try to launch the services (oradim -startup -sid mysid -usrpwd mypwd -starttype srvc). The problem is that only the service started as the second one does manage to start successfully. The one started as the first remains "starting" (no matter which service it is)

I need my services to start automatically.

looking forward for your replies
