Hi,

what is a TNS error in ORacle and how do we resolve it?

TNS Transperant Network Substrate

This is the oracle sub system act as a mediator between processes. This TNS error may occur on different scenorios,

when you connect with remote database and there may possiblity for stopped listener, different sid in tnsnames.ora then in listener.ora, firewall protected network so that tns connection could not be made.

when you connect with local database then service may be down, either start the oracle service or make sure you are connecting with correct database
