When I restart the computer, I have to start the oracle by DBA Studio.

Why the computer could not start oracle auto?

Thanks!

Hi,

It means ur oracle services are not autostartable. To auto start ur oracle services go to services and change the property of oracle services to auto. Mainly Listener and DB services.

hi all. i have the same problem. but i'm sure that i have the service autostart. but each time i restart the comp and try to use sql plus, it always say oracle not ready. then i have to shutdown all processes of oracle, restart it back from the DB admin tool, then only can use sql plus. btw, i'm using winxp with service pack and using oracle 8i.

another problem is, i've keyed in the content for a table and the next day when went thru all the hassle restarting oracle services, my table content ALL gone!
anyone have any idea? direct mailing to my mail is welcomed! thx in advance!

I found that in Win2000 server service the OracleServiceSID has started.
However, the database could not be visit until I start the DB in DBA Studio manually.

I found that the instance is not startup.
If connect internal and startup, the database is OK.
However, how to setting the property?
