Hi,
I am using the database resource manager on 9i. I want to eliminate any long running queries from running. The oracle manual suggests that the "max_exec_est_time" plan directive be set (in seconds). In this case, I have done so, but still, my long running queries execute.
I have collected statistics for the schema and the whole database, but the optimizer seems to think that the query duration will be less than the MAX_EXEC_EST_TIME directive.
The user is in the correct consumer group.
Can anyone help and advise on how I can eliminate long running jobs from running.
