hi all, can anybody pls list me the packages a DBA regularly uses or need to know. i am new to DBA job. is there any article which suggests the routine work like looking at tablespace space, looking at alert log file for a DBA to perform on a daily basis?

Hi,
The Oracle 10g database documentation set ships with a manual called "The Two-day DBA". You can read it on-line at OTN or order a copy via Oracle Store.
