Is there a limit to number of locks Oracle can hold? [message #60622]

Hello all!

We have process that seemed to suspend the whole system. What we notice is several table locked in row exclusive and not being released until the process ends (2-4 hours later).

I am curious if Oracle has a limit to the number of locks it can hold.
