Hi..
I m a newbie to Oracle...I am facing a prob..plzz help me out...
I just loaded oracle 8i on my server and gave it Global Database Name as "xyz".
On the Other PC I loaded Oracle Client Software but I am unable to connect to Database despite of giving the right Host Name and Global Database Name .
It Says Something LIke this:-
Ora-12638 Credential Retreival Failed...
Where does the problem lies..?????

Hi,
specify the TNS connect string (defined in the tnsnames.ora) of the database you are connecting to ,instead. If its thin jdbc connection, specify host,port and SID .
