Hi,
We are managing oracle 9i databases hosting oracle 11i applications. For few databases, the following message is continuosly appearing in alert.log
Restarting dead background process QMN0
QMN0 started with pid=9
Because of this database startup is taking very long time. We are not getting any other error / trace files in this regards.
Please let me know if any one knows the cause / wprkaround...

AQ_TM_PROCESSES should be set to 0 , if you are not using Advanced Queuing.
Also it seems taking the EXAMPLE tablespace OFFLINE and back again to ONLINE gets rid of this !
