Hi,

When I try to use the Database Configuration Assistant, I get the following issues:

-new database: TNS protocol adapter error
do I have to setup anything in the listener first ?
-delete database: the screen is freezing and nothing happens

I am running 8.1.7.4

Any ideas ?

Thanks in advance

Yan

when creating a new dadtabae make sure u give a proper sid
sid should not contain any space too lengthy
and
if your sqlnet.ora has parameter

SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES=(NTS)

comment it out
