Hi,
I want to install Oracle 9i (rel 2) on the same machine where my Oracle 8i (rel 2) is already installed. I want both the versions should co-exist on the same machine which is Redhat Linux 9.
Please help me how to do that.

regards
Raj Kishore

edit the profile of ORACLE.
have a new ORACLE_HOME.
have a new ORACLE_SID.
it is recomended to use the relative paths.
somethng like
PATH=$ORACLE_HOMEbin etc.
now install install 9i.
9i is installed in a new ORACLE_HOME.
create the database etc.
u can use the same listener that 8i is using or
create a different listener for 9i in another port.
