Hi all,

I'm having a small problem with getting one of my oracle instances started. I have three Oracle 8i instances running on a Windows 2000 server. Two of the three start perfectly normal but the third instance takes about 8 minutes to start (instead of two for the others). It performs normally once started but I'd rather try and fix it now and "nip it in the bud" before it could get any worse.

Any one have any ideas why it could take so long? As far as I can tell, none of the shared/large/java pool sizes are overly large (in relation to the others).

I would appreciate any advice. Thankyou very much
