hi what's the use of setting resetlogs.why it should
reseting to sequence to 1.What will happen internally.

Hi

Resetting Logs Exactly Means Syncronizing Of All Datafile's and Redolog files.It is must required when u perform incomplete recovery,becoz at the time of incomplete recovery datafiles headers are out of seqeunce with compare to controfile information,so while you the database after perfoming incomplete recovery u must u ALTER DATABASE OPEN RESETLOGS
command to syncronize the Database Files

Actually u have to open resetlogs only when u are going to recover from a backup controlfile and in all cases of incomplete recovery.
