Hi Everyone,
My 9i R2 database server on Redhat Linux 7.3 is suddenly giving an Oracle internal error ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [[kcratr1_lostwrt]], [[]], [[]], [[]], [[]], [[]], [[]], [[]] (I know this has happened to one other person but I cannot find anything else on the web about this error.)

The database is getting mounted, but it is not able to open the database.
I have plenty of RAM and have checked everything else I can think of...

Any ideas would help!
Thanks so much,
Tracy

Thank you so much for your time. I really appreciate it. :)
Oh, and I just installed this database. It's totally clean. I haven't put any data into it or anything. This error occurred when I was trying to set up auto startup and stop (I was shutting down and re-starting the database quite a bit and this error suddenly popped up).

Thanks again,
Tracy

Hi Mahesh,
Thanks so much for your help. I didn't change anything inside the initsid.ora file but it's alright.
I think I will just go ahead and do a clean install again.
