hello friend .. i m using oracle 9i on windows 2000 ..
i create a database without password file..
i m using OS authentication (sqlnet.authentication_Service=(nts))
if i use at command prompt ...
1). oradim -startup -sid siddb2 << it will up my database at open stage ... >>
2). oradim -startup -sid siddb2 -starttype srvc << it will up my database at nomount stage
3). oradim -startup -sid siddb2 -starttype srvc,inst << it gives a error " invalud username / password ...>>
whats the prblm ....
and second ..
Sho sga
System Global Area Size
Fixed Size
Variable Size
Database Buffer
Redo Buffer ...
i want to know about these components ...
database buffer = db_cache_Size
Redo buffer = log_buffer
but what about others ...
Variable Size ...?
pls tell me ..
