Dear Friends,
I am facing a serious problem for last four days.
I am getting the following error:

Found dead multi-threaded server 's000', pid=(8,1)
DBW0: terminating instance due to error 472
Instance terminated by DBW0, pid=116
===============================================
The instance is getting terminated. Sometimes when the instance terminates I also get an error ORA-00600
I am in deep tension. I would indeed be helpful to someone who can rescue me.

Joy,
Pl let me know folling :
Are u running your box on NT/Unix?
Is your env is WAN/LAN or VWAN.
What is your oracle version.
Is you got this error while you are takin the bakup or how frequently u are getting this error?
Are u using any 3rh party tools for backups??

From your posts, it seems that you are using mts configuration? Since oracle said it is mts shared server that dead, what about try using dedicated server by comment the mts_xxx in the initsid.ora file?
And seems you are getting ora-600 error, i suggest you contact oracle support.
