I am having Pentium IV ,20 GB HDD, 256MB RAM with Windows 98 OS. I have installed Oracle 8i Client.After configuring the service, I have restarted the PC.While connecting to oracle Server using configured service it is displaying following message.
"12162 : TNS Name incorrectly specified"

But it is connecting using tnsping in Command Prompt.

set your ORACLE_SID properly
